From generative AI as an intelligent assistant, leadership lessons, and a spotlight on one of our team members – this week’s content explores practical ways to navigate change, make better decisions, and unlock human potential.

⚡ The Future of Work Isn’t Man vs Machine – It’s Man + Machine.

Generative AI, when used well, is starting to act like an assistant, anticipating what you need, connecting dots faster than you can, and hopefully, giving you back something we’re all short on: time and focus. The mistake many make is framing this as man vs machine.

However, history tells a different story; every leap in technology that has stuck, from the steam engine to the smartphone, has been about humans plus machines. The same is true now. This isn’t about being replaced. It’s about being amplified. 👉 Read our team’s latest Strategic Alert on Agentic AI here.

🤖 Fierce Leadership and Human Care Are What Decide Success.

On our latest Elephants in the Boardroom podcast, Tony Underwood discusses how leadership is about preparation, shaping culture, and helping people make good decisions under pressure – whether on the rugby field or in the boardroom.

He also reminds us that AI can amplify human potential if leaders practice fierce care. That’s how disruption becomes opportunity. 🎧 Read more, and watch (or listen) to the full episode here.

📖 Once Upon a Time: The Power of Story to Connect.

With all the talk about AI and the need for genuine human connection, I was reminded of a reflection that Keith shared on our blog many years ago – along with a practical exercise that still feels incredibly relevant today.

The exercise? A simple yet powerful methodology inspired by the Hawaiian practice of talk story, which we at TomorrowToday call the River of Life. As the name suggests, it’s about delegates or team members sitting together to share their stories – using images, cutting, sticking, crayons and a bit of fun to bring them to life.

It may sound deceptively simple, but once you’ve experienced it, the impact on a team – and on you personally – can be profound.

You can read more about it here. And if you’d like support, one of our team would be delighted to facilitate a River of Life session – it remains one of our favourite experiences to host.

📊 Beyond the GenAI Headlines: What Senior Leaders Really Need to Know About AI Hype, Risk, and Opportunity.

We know – everywhere you look, AI seems to dominate the conversation – yes, even this update. But behind the headlines lies a more important story for senior leaders. In a recent Financial Times piece, Katie Long highlights two crucial points: first, the unmistakable signs of a bubble in GenAI companies; and second, the reminder that while GenAI can significantly boost personal productivity when used wisely, it can never replace human expertise.

Graeme’s recent LinkedIn post shares Katie’s article, while adding his own analysis, reminding leaders to be thoughtful, critical, and practical when adopting AI tools.

And for anyone wanting to go deeper – here’s a link to the State of AI in Business 2025 report that was shared in the comments of the above post. It’s a valuable read for any senior leader implementing AI.
