Here’s an idea for a global enterprise that can run from your kitchen. The downside is that there are already some big players in this space. The good news is that there is plenty of space to play in.
Every day around the world, Really Important People shout out of their offices down the echoing corridors of power to the minions who serve them. Their shouts are actually barked questions, demanding answers to questions that pop into their heads – questions fuelled by the need to have access to the latest, most uo-to-date information on any and every subject. They know its possible – hey, its called the i.n.t.e.r.n.e.t. They’re not quite sure how it works, but they know it does. So, now Their Problem is Your Problem. Your solution – use an outsourced research warehouse – you put up a question, and tell people how much you’re willing to pay (it can be on a sliding scale – if they answer within 2 minutes, x, otherwise if only within an hour x less 50%, etc). Someone Out There will be willing to answer your call, and come to your rescue in your time of need. And you get to impress the boss.
Just another example of connections, democratisation of information and decentralisation.
Nice one.
Some of the players: elance. You can also check out Google answers – its website says: “More than 500 carefully screened Researchers are ready to answer your question for as little as $2.50 — usually within 24 hours. Your satisfaction is completely guaranteed.”
