This month TomorrowToday celebrated 20 years! When we started the business, I’m not sure any of us thought it would have this kind of longevity.

Like the wind strengthens a tree, the economic meltdown of 2008 and the pandemic have seen our little business not only survive but thrive. It has been a steppingstone or launchpad for many who have gone on to realise their own dreams and make a dent in the Universe and has afforded us opportunities that would have seemed impossible 20 years ago. In our engagement across all sectors and with the leading players in those sectors, we have walked with giants, collaborated, and learnt from the brightest and best. We have had fun doing it and have a bunch of stories to tell.

What a ride it has been! But it nearly didn’t happen as ‘TomorrowToday’!

Sometimes creativity unchecked can be catastrophic. There was a point, when we were considering (brainstorming would be a stretch) what our name and brand would be that the name of ‘Schrödinger’s Cat’ was mooted. Schrödinger’s Cat!? Sometimes clever can be rather stupid and certainly, this was one such moment. Even with nine lives I very much doubt that Schrödinger’s (or any cat for that matter…including the entire cast of Cats) would have survived 20 years in the corporate jungle! And that fact is no April Fool…

Cat litter dodged, we settled on the name and colours that have become our brand. Every now and then we will be introduced as, ‘TodayTomorrow’ which of course is the very antithesis of what we stand for! “Think people, think “I silently scream when I hear this reversal, for no tomorrow can ever be like today, and nor should it!

So, I for one am grateful good sense prevailed on that day twenty years ago when three friends decided to work together believing that ‘if we build it, they will come.’ (Yes, it was that cheesy!).

So TomorrowToday it was. Thinking about it, ‘Schrödinger’s Cat’ would have posed all manner of dilemmas: What type of cat? What colours? Short hair, long hair…no hair? Was the cat dead or alive? No, we certainly averted disaster that day and did the right thing! TomorrowToday it was, it is, and it will continue to be…and here we are, 20 years young!

But of course, change is necessary. So, allow us to introduce our new website and new branding; branding that gives a contemporary twist to the past; branding to usher in our next adventures where we will follow the path less travelled (thanks to Covid!) and have fun as we do so.

We hope you like it and we invite you to accompany us as we journey onwards!
