I came across the following video clip from TED.com – it’s a guy by the name of Simon Sinek who speaks on How great leaders inspire action. It’s a great video clip that’s worth the 19 minutes of time if you have it. Not only does it speak to leadership, but one can adapt a lot of what Sinek speaks to, in ones daily lives.
It’s a simple concept that he calls the ‘Golden Circle’ and basically looks at the ‘Why’, the ‘How‘ and the ‘What’. Many companies and leaders work from the inside out – knowing what they do, and how they do it but not why they do it… Sinek takes a look at first understanding the ‘Why’ to result in a far superior product or service delivery. It’s a simple idea, with some great case studies.
