● The Importance of Professional-Grade Generative AI in Regulated Sectors.

The use of Generative AI in professional and highly regulated fields is on the rise. Despite the growing interest, there’s still hesitation for its adoption, according to Thompson Reuters research covered in the Harvard Business Review.

“The primary hesitation around GenAI is whether they can trust it not to produce inaccurate outputs, or “hallucinations,” or allow them to unwittingly distribute misinformation, such as fake legal citations or faulty tax guidance.”

The point is the concerns are still valid and real but Generative AI is here to stay. Future Fit Leaders are doing what they need to do now to position their organisations and teams for success and building bionic business today for the future. Read more here…

ThrowForward Thursday: The Day the Internet Dies.

Imagine logging into your web browser and there’s just nothing: no websites anywhere. You check your internet connection, and that seems fine. Your phone seems to be working. Except most of the apps are showing error messages, and there are just no websites.

This is what would happen if the DNS system stops working. This is the system that turns your website request into an address the IP and HTTP systems can understand. And our DNS systems are incredibly fragile, completely out of date, and most are run by under supported volunteers. We live in a fragile world – way more fragile than we know.

And the system could fall over at any time. It did so earlier this year, with a bad Microsoft update shutting down airports, banks, and water processing plants for two days. That was a warning of worse things to come.

Catch last week’s ThrowForward Thursday, where Graeme talks about “The Day the Internet Dies” for more on this digital uncertainty.

Lessons from Spotify’s Work from Anywhere Program.

The policy enabled staff to decide when they worked in a company office or wherever else on the planet, as long as the Swedish-headquartered company had a hub in that country.

Anna Lundström, Spotify’s VP of human resources, told WorkLife she was pleased that the company’s bold move [to Work from Anywhere] had reaped such rewards and that it will continue to evolve the model.

“It’s positive proof that our decision of listening to and trusting our people worked,” she said. “We’ve learned that more flexibility gives employees true autonomy at work. At Spotify, we believe that work is not something you need to come to the office for; it’s something you do independently of where you are, and therefore you should be able to work from anywhere.” Read the full article here.
