Talent retention is a frequent conversation with many of our clients asking ‘How do we keep our young people staying in our business so that we can get the most financial benefit out of their presence?’
That’s the wrong question! You already have young people in your business – they are already retained.
What we need to be focusing on in the new ‘talent retention’ conversation is how we connect with those young people who have left. People who have left your organization – gone working for other people, or working with your competitors in your industry – and creating a connection with them so that later on in a year or two years or five years as they choose to move back into your sphere of influence.
Essentially creating talent alumni.
