RESETTING HOW TO LEAD IN A CHANGED WORLD

Invitational Leadership

BACK TO ALL KEYNOTES

Leaders everywhere are needing to reset – not only how they think about leadership, but how they practise it in an increasingly complex, adaptive and disrupted world. What hasn’t changed is the need to manage teams effectively and, above all, to create the conditions for people to do their best work.

The session starts by framing the shifting leadership context, then explores what leaders need to know, do, and be in order to lead confidently and effectively into the future. The framework we use is Invitational Leadership – a sound theoretical and practical springboard to the practice of inclusive, human-centred leadership.

It is built on three core assumptions and one clear implication for leaders:

The Three Assumptions are:

  1. There is a best in everyone.
  2. Everybody has a valid contribution to make.
  3. Everyone would rather make that contribution than not.

Therefore, the role and responsibility of the leader is to build an inviting environment – one that consistently brings out the best in people. This keynote/workshop offers practical insights and compelling examples of how to lead invitationally through four core practices respect, intentionality, optimism, and trust. Invitational Leadership is a profoundly simple yet practical framework that works across cultures and sectors. We have applied it throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas, and it consistently translates into meaningful leadership shifts for diverse contexts.

This keynote/workshop brings together the best of TomorrowToday’s global experience in helping leaders reframe and respond to the new leadership agenda.
